Refund policy
At American Auto Export, we are committed to ensuring your satisfaction with every purchase.
Returns
You may return new, unused items within 30 days of delivery for a refund or exchange. To be eligible for a return:
- Items must be in new, uninstalled condition and in their original packaging.
- Products that have been assembled, modified, or used are not eligible for return.
- Certain items are non-returnable, including custom-made products, painted parts, opened electrical components, and items marked "non-returnable" at the time of purchase.
To initiate a return:
- Submit a return request through our Returns Center.
- Once approved, you will receive a Return Authorization (RA) and shipping instructions.
- Ship the item back using the provided label or your preferred carrier.
- Upon inspection and approval, a refund will be issued to your original payment method.
Shipping Fees: If the return is not due to our error, original shipping charges and return shipping costs will be deducted from your refund.
Cancellations
We strive to process orders quickly. Therefore:
- Orders may only be canceled before they are packed or shipped.
- If your order has already shipped, it cannot be canceled and must be processed as a return.
- To request a cancellation, please contact our customer service team as soon as possible.
Damaged or Incorrect Items
If you receive a damaged or incorrect item, please contact us within 30 days of delivery. We will work with you to resolve the issue promptly, including providing a replacement or refund as appropriate.
Additional Terms
- We are not responsible for labor costs, installation fees, towing, or other incidental expenses related to returned or defective parts.
- All returns must include all original components and documentation.
Restocking Fee for Non-Defective Returns
All non-defective returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee. This fee helps cover the cost of processing, inspecting, and repackaging returned items. The restocking fee will be deducted from the refund amount issued to your original payment method.
We strongly encourage customers to review product specifications and compatibility before finalizing a purchase. If you're unsure about a product's fitment or application, our customer service team is here to assist.
Note: The restocking fee does not apply to returns resulting from our error or to items received damaged or defective. In those cases, we'll work with you to resolve the issue at no additional cost.
